Just as the name implies, the swamps waters almost never move, yet they have become too poisonous for the bugs to lay eggs. Perfectly safe for the horses to live in as long as they don't drink the water. There are "islands" throughout the swamp of solid land that grow grasses for the horses to feed off of, no water source.
